WHAT
IS REALLY INVOLVED IN MY HEALING?
Following an Energy
Healing session (either by distance or in-person), people often ask, "What
do I do next?" The following questions and answers deal with the nature
of True Healing. As with all the information we present, we ask you
to read with an open mind and a 'spirit of understanding' that will allow
you to best use what is helpful to you.
What is healing?
Healing is the process
of re-connecting to our Universal Source.
We are all born with this ability, but not everyone remembers how to properly
use it.
Why do I have this illness or condition?
Healing is HOLISTIC.
It deals with your WHOLE being. There is no such thing as an isolated injury
or illness. Regardless of the 'circumstances' surrounding the illness or
injury, it is something necessary for your growth in some way, otherwise
you would not be experiencing it. Even if caused by an 'accident', there
is a real and positive reason for it in your life. The Universe makes no
mistakes.
How can an illness be necessary for my growth?
An illness usually
points the way for CHANGE. It allows one to see that 'something is
not right', and to re-evaluate our patterns of action and feelings. This is not to say that one 'deserves' an illness or that an illness is a
'punishment'. To view it from that perspective would negate the fact that
the Universe is All-Loving and that we are here for a Purpose, mainly growth.
Illness is simply an imbalance that needs to be corrected. Many,
many people have changed their lives for the better due to an unexpected illness
that 'forced' them to change.
Healing requires CHANGE.
When you change the pattern that 'created' the illness, the illness will
simply 'fall away'. In many cases, this happens instantly. You must
be willing to CHANGE (to expand your thinking, to give something up, to try
something new, or to forgive) or you will unknowingly 'hold on' to the illness.
By holding onto whatever behavior, thought or action caused the illness,
you keep the 'pattern' intact. Although a competent healer can alleviate
the symptoms and pain, if no real change is made, the 'pattern' remains and
the illness may re-surface.
Healing requires DEDICATION.
There is no such thing as a 'quick fix'. Many times illnesses surfacing now
are the result of things that happened far in the past or deep issues that were never resolved. You must be dedicated to getting to the 'root'
of the problem. You must arrive at a genuine understanding of the
problem on an emotional level. This means, you must feel your
way back through the layers which started the negative emotional pattern.
Once this is done, the layers of pain, anger and grief will peel back as
smoothly as an onion.
What should I expect from an Energy Healing session?
There are
an infinite number of things that happen during and after an Energy Healing
session. The Healer will begin the process of re-balancing your energies.
The best way to help the process is to expect the best possible outcome,
but don't label what this is! Very surprising things often happen during
and after Energy Healing sessions. In general, expect the best and
leave it at that.
Your healing is a PROCESS,
not an event. A process is something on-going. Although
the physical symptoms may go away, in many cases, you must still be willing
to grow and change for the better. You will find as your expectations are
positive, the results may be astounding. And what you learn about yourself
along the way may be even more astounding. But the most important thing to
remember is that you WILL get better. Relax, Love yourself and enjoy the
process!
The journey into You is the most rewarding you will ever take!
DETOXIFICATION?
It is common for a
person to de-toxify after a healing session. "This is a release from the
body of disease-causing toxins and should be supported rather than stopped"
(D.Stein). This may last a few days and include symptoms such as runny nose,
body odor, discolored stool and increased urination. Do not try to stop this
process. Let your body naturally flush poisons and help it along by drinking
plenty of water.
Are there any specific things I can do to
help my healing?
Yes! You are ultimately
responsible for your own healing. There are things you definitely can and
should do.
In general; Prayer, Meditation, Affirmation, Conscious Breathing, Visualization,
Self-Massage, Mantra, Yoga, Tai Chi, Artistic Practices, and Reading
spiritual and uplifting information are all ways to re-connect with your
own internal healing source. Do them regularly and watch the magic unfold!
